Dementia Connect Basel

Dementia Connect Basel

Connecting memory clinics and researchers in Basel

The Dementia Update Basel meeting brings together researchers and healthcare professionals to foster collaboration and exchange between research and clinical practice in Basel. It is co-organized by the Swiss Network for Dementia Reserach and Prof. Marc Aurel Busche from .

A scientific highlight of the program is the keynote lecture by Prof. Henrik Zetterberg (University College London), a pioneering figure in biomarker research in neurodegenerative diseases. His work has been instrumental in advancing the development and clinical translation of fluid biomarkers for dementia.

In addition, participants are invited to actively contribute to the scientific program through short talks or poster presentations, providing a platform to present ongoing research and stimulate collaborative ideas.

For researchers and interested participants, an optional and exclusive clinical site visit at Felix Platter Hospital is offered in the morning prior to the scientific program, providing first-hand insight into clinical workflows and patient care in a specialized memory clinic setting.
