Membership FAQ

Individuals who are willing and able to contribute to the realization of the association's purpose can become members of the association — provided they are based in Switzerland, have previously worked in Switzerland or are currently collaborating with Swiss institutions.

New members are admitted by the Executive Board based on a written application. Membership may be refused without stating a reason.

To join for the first time, please complete a new member

application form. Renewals for existing members are handled automatically each year unless a cancellation is submitted within the specified notice period.

As member of the Swiss Network for Dementia Research you will enjoy exclusive benefits like:

The members' newsletter is sent exclusively to members of the association. In addition to information relevant to membership — such as news from the Board of Directors, updates from the office, or announcements about the General Assembly — members receive exclusive content in advance, including new job vacancies and early-bird access to upcoming offers from the association.

The Swiss Network for Dementia Research has three membership types:

• Student Member for PhD Students and Untergraduates: 25 CHF
• Associate Member for Postdoctoral Research Fellows and Medical Residents: 50 CHF
• Senior Member for independent Scientists, Medical Doctors, Emeritus and others: 100 CHF

For the application of a student membership, we will contact you after receiving your application to request a copy or photo of your valid student permit.

At the start of each year, members receive an invoice payable within 30 days, automatically extending membership by one year.

Please note that mid-year cancellations are not eligible for a refund of membership fees.

Currently, membership fees are fixed and cannot be discounted.

Members may resign at the end of a calendar year by giving three months' written notice to the Swiss Network for Dementia Research at

info@swiss-dementia-network.ch.

Additionally, the board may terminate membership if a member's actions harm the association's reputation or if obligations to the association are not met.
