Travel Grant

Applicants must be Student or Association Members of the Swiss Network for Dementia Research for at least three months at the time of application and must have been accepted to present their work at a scholarly, scientific, or professional conference (poster session or talk) related to their research.

The Travel Grant is announced twice a year. Application deadlines are:

• 1 May, for stays in the period between October and February of the current and following year.
• 1 December, for stays in the period between March and September of the following year.

Eligible costs include travel expenses (2nd class/economy), registration fees and accommodation.

Only actual costs will be reimbursed, up to a maximum amount of CHF 500.

Applications must be submitted before the event takes place and by the designated deadlines. Applicants must complete the online application form with all relevant details regarding their participation and provide a letter of acceptance for the event via

email.

Applications are assessed based on the scientific quality of the abstract, the relevance of the event, and the potential impact on the applicant’s academic development. The Management Office compiles a shortlist of eligible applications, which is reviewed by the Board. The Board then selects and awards one grant per round, ensuring a fair and transparent process.

Recipients must submit all expense receipts together as a single PDF file after the event. The invoices must document expenses up to the award amount. Please include your Grant Number, which you received with your confirmation, in the subject line when submitting.
