The Swiss Network for Dementia Research is pleased to announce the upcoming Swiss Dementia Forum 2025. This event brings together researchers, clinicians, and professionals from across Switzerland to advancing dementia research and care.


A platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and networking

On 6 – 7 November 2025, the Swiss Network for Dementia Research will host the 2025 at the Eventforum Bern – and registration is now open.


The Swiss Dementia Forum provides a national platform for stakeholders from science, clinical practice, and care to foster interdisciplinary exchange, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and support the translation of scientific insights into clinical applications and societal impact.


A program shaped by collaboration and curiosity

In autumn 2024, the Forum’s began shaping the program. From the outset, the goal was to design a comprehensive program that reflects the breadth and depth of dementia research and care in Switzerland.


Participants can look forward to two days featuring a dynamic mix of presentations, a panel discussion, lightning talks, a poster session, and workshops. The program highlights the latest advancements in dementia research, treatment, and care.


Whether you work in basic research, clinical practice, health policy, industry or care delivery – the Forum offers space for networking, critical reflection, and new perspectives.


Renowned speakers and timely topics

The Swiss Dementia Forum 2025 will feature a distinguished pioneering dementia research and care. Key topics include:


  • Advances in biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease including body-fluid and blood-based markers
  • Clinical insights from Lecanemab use and emerging therapies shaping treatment and care models
  • Unraveling the neural circuitry and cellular alterations that underlie cognitive decline.
  • Public health perspectives, AI-driven approaches and novel insights into memory traces
  • Translational research bridging bench and bedside
  • Patient-centered perspectives and ethical considerations
  • Strategies for interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange

Contribute and connect: Call for Abstracts

To strengthen and grow the dementia community, we invite all participants to actively contribute to the program and showcase their research or projects.


Abstract submissions are welcome for both lightning talks and poster presentations:


  • The deadline for Lightning Talk submissions is 1 June 2025
  • Poster abstracts can be submitted until 10 October 2025
