Restoring memory: Targeting brain oscillations in MCI and AD patients

Website Event Cover #3 Lucie Brechet

A Webinar by Dr. Lucie Bréchet, University of Geneva

In this webinar, will present new research exploring how disrupted brain oscillations in the autobiographical memory (ABM) network contribute to memory decline in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD).

She will describe patient-tailored, ecologically valid tasks developed to map the spatiotemporal dynamics of ABM-related oscillatory activity. Dr. Bréchet will also highlight emerging evidence on the potential of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) to enhance memory performance. Finally, she will introduce a novel, caregiver-supported, home-based tACS intervention aimed at achieving sustained improvements in ABM function in people living with MCI and AD.
